The Four-time champions repeat the presence among the 30 "richest" in the Football Money League study, with 157,6 million euros.
23 January 2018, 12h04
In this study are not included the extraordinary revenues from transfers, just values generated from daily management: tickets, broadcasting and commercial rights, where are included the sales of merchandising, Stadium and Museum tours, sponsors, etc. Even so, Benfica is the only Portuguese emblem present in the top 30 of the study carried out by Deloitte, topped, for the second year in a row by Manchester United.
Indeed, no other Portuguese emblem has ever featured in the 30 "richest" in this study, with only two clubs out of the five main leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France): Benfica and Zenit (Russia).
For revenues around 157,6 million euros – more 5,5 million than in the previous season – contributed the unprecedented Fourth consecutive league title and the participation in the Champions League, where the Eagles reached the 8th Finals.
