Isaac Nader, Benfica athlete, won the 16th edition of the São Silvestre de Lisboa race on Saturday, December 30. It was his first victory in the competition, achieved with a time of 29:10 minutes. In 2nd place was teammate Miguel Moreira (29:25 minutes). Duarte Gomes (4th place with 29:49 minutes), Alexandre Figueiredo (7th place with 30:06) and Etson Barros (8th place with 30:54) also took part in the race, as did Samuel Barata, who had no competitive goals. In the women's race, Melanie Santos finished in 5th place (38:50 minutes). "I expected to win, I'm satisfied. It's a different race, with a good level," Isaac Nader told BTV about an event that brought together nearly 12,000 participants.
