UEFA has decided and made it official! The 2019/20 Champions League final will take place at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, on August 23. It is the second time that our stadium will be the final’s stage.

Lisbon won the race against Frankfurt and Moscow and will held the final stage of the Champions League, with seven matches at Estádio da Luz and José Alvalade, between August 12 and 23, behind closed doors.

The Sport Lisboa e Benfica stadium hosts the event for the second time. The first one was on May 24, 2014… a clash with the two giants from Madrid: Real and Atlético. 

FINAL 8 CALENDAR

  • Quarterfinals: August 12 to 15

  • Semifinals: August 18 and 19

  • Final: August 23 (Estádio da Luz)

Qualified for the para quarterfinals: Atalanta, Atlético Madrid, Leipzig and PSG. Still seeking the qualification: Chelsea or Bayern Munich, Napoli or Barcelona, Real Madrid or Manchester City and Lyon or Juventus.

Frenetic dying moments at Estádio da Luz in the first match of the 2019/20 Champions League Final 8! Atalanta opened the scoring after a great goal from Pasalic (27'). PSG scored the equalizer through Marquinhos in 90th minute, after an assist from Neymar. In stoppage time (90'+3'), Choupo-Moting sealed the 1-2 after an assist from Mbappé, qualifying the Parisians for the Champions League semi-finals. The Cathedral will host another quarter-final match (Barcelona-Bayern, on August 14), one game from the "semis" (winner of the Atlético Madrid-Leipzig match  against PSG, August 18) and the final (Aug 23). Photos: UEFA.com
